Disqualifying the Positive

Negative Thought:

Rejecting positive experiences or achievements ("That doesn’t count, I was just lucky")

Example:

  • Problem: You received praise from your boss for a job well done.

  • Negative Thinking: "They’re just being nice. It doesn’t really count."

  • Mind Hack: Acknowledge Positives—Remind yourself, "I put in hard work, and it was recognized. I deserve to accept the compliment."
