Disqualifying the Positive
Negative Thought:
Rejecting positive experiences or achievements ("That doesn’t count, I was just lucky")
Example:
Problem: You received praise from your boss for a job well done.
Negative Thinking: "They’re just being nice. It doesn’t really count."
Mind Hack: Acknowledge Positives—Remind yourself, "I put in hard work, and it was recognized. I deserve to accept the compliment."
Celebrate Small Wins:
Give yourself credit for even minor accomplishments, and focus on how they contribute to your growth.
Catch the Compliments:
When someone praises you, practice saying, "Thank you," instead of deflecting.
