Jumping to Conclusions
Negative Thought:
Assuming you know what will happen or how others feel without evidence.
Example:
Problem: Your friend seemed distant during a conversation.
Negative Thinking: "They’re angry with me, and they don’t want to be my friend anymore."
Mind Hack: Ask for Clarification—Instead of assuming, ask, "Is something bothering you?" They may be distracted or preoccupied, not necessarily upset with you.
Test Your Assumptions:
Challenge your assumptions by asking, "What evidence do I have that this will happen?"
Consider Alternatives:
Think of at least three other explanations for the situation. This will help broaden your perspective.
