Mind Reading
Negative Thought:
Assuming you know what others are thinking, usually negative assumptions.
Example:
Problem: A friend hasn’t responded to your text for two days.
Negative Thinking: "They must be mad at me. I probably said something wrong."
Mind Hack: Seek Evidence—Ask yourself, "Do I have proof that they’re upset, or am I just assuming?" Maybe they’re busy or dealing with something personal.
Communicate:
If possible, ask the person directly to clarify their thoughts or intentions instead of making assumptions.
Flip the Script:
Assume the best instead of the worst. Imagine the most positive interpretation of their behavior.
